I am interested in studying how different agricultural management practices affect pests, biological control, and yield. Understanding how different IPM approaches affect these factors can lead to increased pest management and sustainability within the system. My current 2-year project is to examine how cover crop choice and herbicide program interact to affect multiple components of organic tomato management in South Carolina such as pest incidence (weeds, arthropods, and diseases), pest biological control, soil health, fruit nutritional content, and yield.
